From Boston, MA, into Bradenton, FL, toward Tucson, AZ.  Books & Shovels was run on a small scale out of our frame-packs.

We did not have a vehicle for this stint.  This was a brief cafe-show stint.
  Photographer Emily Kask joined on board into shoot a documentary of Books & Shovels.  We had a little over a week toward find & repair a car that would get us through Lit Crawl San Francisco, through Tucson, & onto the next tour. We smashed through some vehicle trouble in New Hampshire.  Dan Hapgood & Jeremiah Walton worked odd ball jobs & 9-5s to gather the needed resources through hit the road.  We were all hyped.  The day before we hit the road, the front end of Hapgood's van rusted out.  Unable into depart as scheduled, we scrambled thru Craigslist seeking a potential vehicle for a grand.
.From Tucson, AZ, toward Oakland, CA, forBeast Crawl 2015, toward New York, NY, for the 2015 NYC Poetry Festival.  From here, we settled in Manchester, NH, preparing into kick off in October, 2015, into head towards Lit Crawl San Francisco.
  It took us almost 24 hrs of 20-30 mph through make it out of the freezing weather.  We hit Austin, TX, NOLA, arrested in Alabama, show toward Kansas City, MO, & were forced South towards Albuquerque once more.m. Dennys, we added New Orleans as a detour into our journey North into Seattle.From Tucson, we made way through Albuquerque, NM, where under the faux lights of a 3 a.  Nasty snow & ice varnished Kansas interstates & highways.  Our heater doesn't work unless the car is in motion.  Vehicle maintenance ate up a couple days in Albuquerque before we shot off West.

We settled in Tucson, AZ, late December, 2014, & began hosting shows / street ciphers / & digging through the artistic community out in the desert.  We hit the Tucson Poetry Festival in April, 2015, before hitting the road again up toward the Bay Area, & circling down thru San Jose, Santa Cruz, Monterrey, and Los Angeles, CA, & thru to Tucson.

  I write this in Tucson, AZ, after straight shooting 3,200 miles from New Hampshire toward California over 3 1/2 days toward make it in time for the show.

We're kicking off Leg Five.Well, stubborn will power & rolling the die worked out for us.

  Our ride is our home, & was our foundation for what we're up through as I type this; re-settling in Tucson through resume hosting events & recuperate from consistently jumping between on & off the road for the past two years.From Albuquerque, the crew rolled out to Flagstaff, AZ, & shot North toward Salt Lake City where further vehicular issues developed.
C.  We lived in a Walmart lot for a few days, scraped our funds together, & traded our wrecked station wagon with the last of our cash for a 1989 Ford E-150.We launched at the 2017 N.  We hit the road toward Denver, CO, where we resided for nearly a month, before shooting back East towards New Hampshire. Poetry Festival, and made way thru New York towards Springfield, IL, for This Is Poetry 2017.  From Springfield, we headed West thru Kansas City, MO, and passed to Lawrence, KS, where our vehicle was totaled.Y.
